자카르타로 향하는 비행기가 채 움직이기도 전, 우연히 확인한 기내 엔터테인먼트 책자에는 이미 본 영화 몇 편이 소개되고 있을 뿐이었다.

그랬던 나의 귀를 달래 준 OST 음악 채널은 나른한 오후 비행 시간 중에도 오랜만에 귀를 즐겁게 해주기에 충분했다. 같은 곡을 소개하는 멘트를 우리말과 영어로 들어보는 것도 새롭게 발견한 즐거움이었다. 가령 "Oh Happy Day"를 소개하며 스크린을 떠난 우피 골드버그에 대해 "아쉽다(우리말)", "이제 우리는 그녀를 TV에서 볼 수 있다(영어)"는 다른 취향의 소개는 더욱 그녀에 대한 이해를 깊게 했다.

그런데, 정말 할 수만 있다면 Track 을 다시 뒤로 돌리고 싶은 충동을 느끼게 하는 음악이 있었으니, 바로 언젠가 역시 기내에서 봤던 "악마는 프라다를 입는다"의 대표적인 Sound Track으로 알려진 KT Tunstall의 "Suddenly I See"였다.

갑자기 듣게 된 새로운 청량감이 주는 음악의 휴식. 비록 뉴욕행 비행기는 이번에도 아니지만, 새로운 곳의 모습이 또한 즐겁고 유익한 시간으로 채워지기를 소망한다.
